At least 2 persons has deceased and more than 12 people are trapped in the rubble of a three-storeyed marketing plaza under construction, in Abuja, Friday
Reports says that the building was located at Jabi area, Abuja, Nigeria.
The incident said to have occurred around 1: 50pm while some staffs were still at the building.
According to eye witness, It was assemble that those trapped include staffs, children and food vendors and other marketers.
It was also assembled that at least nine people have been rescued, while two persons have deceased. Among those rescued was the site engineer who had his two legs, and one hand broken.
It was made known to us that at the time of this incident, rescuer operations by officials of the FCT Fire Service and National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) were still ongoing on the building.
However, It was also assembled that the building had been abandoned for more than 16years, but contractors were recently mobilised to work to the site, so as to finish up the building.
