Manchester United Fc coach, Jose Mourinho is on a move to sign a central defender before the transfer window ends tonight. His plan was to get Godin, 32-year-old who was in the 2018 World Cup team leading Uruguay to the quarter-finals.

Diego Godin’s agent reached out to United this week while Atlantico were playing In Cagliari, saying the player was eager to come to Old Trafford.
It was believed that Godin’s was signed around £18m contract at Atlantico which was believed to be his final year contract.
Old Trafford were eager to pay Godin £8m per year in salary and put together an offer for the agent to take to the Atlantico Madrid board.
Meanwhile, Godin had signed a new contract on improved terms at Atlantico Madrid earning him £6.75m (€7.5m) net a year.
